AUSTIN, Texas — Texas Student Media is excited to announce Jordan Knul as the new Managing Director of Bevo Video Productions.
Knul, who begins the role officially on Aug. 1, takes over the position from David Schneider, who began BVP as its first Managing Director in 2019 and is taking on a full-time faculty position within Moody College of Communication’s Department of Radio-Television-Film. Knul has previously worked as the broadcast adviser for Texas Student Television and KVRX Radio within TSM and in a support role for BVP projects over the past year.
“This is an exciting moment for TSM, and Jordan is well-placed to usher Bevo Video Productions into its next phase of growth,” said Will Parchman, the Director of Texas Student Media. “He’s proven to be an extremely valuable member of the TSM family during his time with us. We’re excited for him to put his unique stamp on BVP while continuing his work with TSTV and KVRX. Additionally, we’re grateful for the strong foundation built by David Schneider’s tireless work over the last six years, which will allow us to continue growing well into the future.”
Knul’s elevation allows TSM’s constellation of broadcast offerings to be consolidated into one orbit, further strengthening BVP’s connection to TSM’s operational support and student opportunities. In addition to his leadership capacity with BVP, Knul will continue to serve as broadcast adviser to TSTV and KVRX, two of TSM’s long-standing and award-winning student-run media properties.
Knul has served in that capacity for the past year, when he joined TSM after a distinguished tenure with Apple TV and the Longhorn Network in video production. This longstanding experience within the UT community underscores Knul’s ability to preserve BVP’s high-impact offerings to campus as well as mentor and grow its highly motivated and talented student population.
BVP is a professionally led, student-powered video production studio offering a broad suite of professional quality video services to the UT community every year.
With a model built on campus service, high-end production value and student development across every genre and category of video service, BVP prides itself on delivering top quality work to its clients while simultaneously developing the next generation. Knul is eager to build on that tradition into the future.
“I’m beyond excited to add to the already strong foundation that BVP exists on,” Knul said. “I’m energized to lead the next generation of young creators and professionals alike, and most importantly to serve our community well.”
