Texas Student Media has worked with departments and organizations all over campus to build new products, events and opportunities. If you have an idea you would like help with please reach out to [email protected].
Marketplace
Texas Student Media has been able to partner with the University’s Office of Student Affairs to develop an event where businesses and organizations can interact with students on the scenic Speedway that runs down the heart of campus. Students flock to the rows of booths to learn about products and services… and of course to get the “freebies” the businesses hand out.
Graduates of Texas
Graduates of Texas is an annual grad fair TSM puts on with the Graduate Coordinator Network. Students meet representatives from graduate programs across the country and around the world.
The event is paired with a publication and a website, graduatesoftexas.com. There students can learn more about graduate programs, and make a profile to celebrate their graduation.
BVP
Launched in fall 2019, Bevo Video Productions is a production unit operated by a unique combination of Texas Student Media and UT athletics staff.
Bevo Video Productions creates original, in-event videoboard content at 100+ Texas Athletics home events each year. BVP is also available for hire by UT Austin entities wishing to produce quality video content for promotion, storytelling and more. Visit bevovideo.com for more information.
Texas Connect
Texas Connect is UT’s staff and faculty magazine. We publish three times a year, sharing stories about the people who power our campus. Texas Student Media partnered with The Office of the President to build an important publication and a unique and valuable experiential learning opportunity. Texas Connect develops the next generation of media leaders by providing upper division students real-world writing, design and production experience. Texas Student Media’s professional staff members help them hone the skills that will help them succeed beyond the Forty Acres.
Physical copies of magazines are distributed throughout campus, and online versions of our stories can be found at texasconnect.utexas.edu.
