Launched in fall 2019, Bevo Video Productions is a production unit operated by Texas Student Media. Bevo Video Productions works with Texas Athletics to deliver original, in-event videoboard content at 100+ events each year. BVP is also available for hire by UT Austin entities wishing to produce quality video content for promotion, storytelling and more.

Texas Student Television, or TSTV, is the nation’s only student-run, FCC-licensed television station. Texas Connect is UT’s staff and faculty magazine. We publish two times a year, sharing stories about the people who power our campus. In building this magazine, Texas Student Media partnered with The Office of the President to create a unique and valuable experiential learning opportunity. Texas Connect develops the next generation of media leaders by providing students with real-world writing, design and production experience. Texas Student Media’s professional staff members help them hone the skills that will help them succeed beyond the Forty Acres.

The TSM professional office offers internship opportunities in graphic design and marketing to support a wide range of creative and communications projects. Graphic design projects include laying out our staff and faculty magazine, creating print and digital marketing materials for advertisers and campus clients, and designing social media posts. A marketing intern can expect to write press releases, support social media strategy and help with various internal and external communications efforts and photography as needed.

Student Board Member positions provide an opportunity to support the governance of Texas Student Media. Members serve fixed two-year terms, unless filling an unexpired term. Three Moody College of Communication students and three at-large students not currently participating in TSM are elected by the student body to serve alongside faculty members and media professionals.

TSM’s student sales force works with our professional staff to sell broadcast, digital and print advertisements to clients across the country who want to grow their businesses by expanding their reach to the UT community and greater Austin. Our sales positions provide valuable experience to students for their future careers, an opportunity for financial reward along the way, and a chance to make new friends and network with colleagues.

The Daily Texan is the largest and most award-winning college publication in the nation, and our alumni have won 29 Pulitzer Prizes.
